Hoods are manufactured with no exposed metals and are constructed with 1cm (3/8") thick stress-relieved, acid-resistant white polypropylene. All joints are thermally welded to ensure strong, leakproof, flush unions. The work surface is constructed of 2.5cm (1") thick polypropylene and features a front lip to contain spills. Each hood contains an internal baffle system also constructed of polypropylene. Baffle system provides safe and efficient removal of fumes when the hood is properly connected to a preexisting exhaust system. A manual adjustment is provided on the baffle system to allow the operator to adjust the negative pressure in the hood environment.
