The summary is that the item I ordered took a long time to arrive and was damaged. Returning it is turning out to be more complex than it should be. Here are the details: I ordered a tailored daybed set from Domestications' online site. When I got my order confirmation it indicated my order would be drop shipped and could take up to 8 weeks. I called to verify that the information was correct and was told yes, it could take that long, but probably wouldn't. Well, it took 8 weeks and the only time I got updates was when I called to ask about it. In fact, I called a couple of days before the order arrived to check the status and was told it would take about 2 weeks to get the status. Then after I was so glad to get my product, it turns out the zipper on one of the bolster covers was broken. It looked really cheap. I called to get a replacement and was told one would be out right away. A couple of days later I get a shipment of the foam bolster fillers - not the cover I needed. I called back again and was told the problem was that they couldn't tell by my order which item number belonged to which product causing the wrong item to be sent to me. The person I talked to made me feel like it was my fault that they couldn't tell what item number belonged to the bolster cover. I had to go to the website while on the phone with them, find the item and tell them where to get it and where it displayed on the page. It turned out the problem was that all the items related to the daybed covers had the same item number - round bolsters, wedge bolsters, covers etc. The customer service rep then told me that surely I could understand how difficult it was for them since they didn't have the information they needed to get the right item out to me. I was told I had to order a complete set, they couldn't just send me the cover I wanted and it would (again) come from a third party manufacturer. I'm afraid it will take another 8 weeks and will only get more complicated before it gets cleared up. Update: It has gotten more complicated. I received my return shipping label for the bolster fillers and it indicated it was from The Company Store. I called to verify that it was OK to use this label and was told no, if I used that label I wouldn't get credit for returning the item. They are sending me another return label (I still haven't even gotten an order confirmation for the bolster covers that I originally wanted to exchange). Update 2: I got the replacement set for the daybed, but no return label was included. I called and they are sending it to me separately. The bolsters that were sent to me erroneously have not been credited to my account. I sent them back about 10 days ago, so I'll check on them again in a couple of days. It certainly appears that their order/return processes are in disarray. I won't shop here again.
