We had a totally unsatisfactory level of service from Instaware and if I'd read the reviews here first, I would have gone to another vendor.
If you're reading this message before you make your purchase - I strongly advise you to find another online vendor who has a good service record. We purchased a brand name blender from Instaware. When it arrived it didn't function properly. We called and were authorized to return it. It took weeks for Instaware to acknowledge they would give us a credit and After many phone calls, we still do not have our credit. Now they tell us that they only process refunds every 60 days. I recently placed an order for an item that was listed as in stock and ready to ship. After a week went by with no update to the order status I contacted the company and was told it was out of stock with a 60 day backorder. I cancelled immediately and requested a refund. Another week went by with no refund so I called again and was told it would take two billing cycles to credit my account. Funny how they debited my account the day after I placed the order. Most companies will not charge until the item is shipped. I plan on pursing this thru my bank as an unauthorized transaction. I will never shop here again.

I also ordered to Canada and I have waited 11 months! My visa was charged within the hour of placing my order and after repeated phone calls and countless broken promises I have received neither a refund nor my order. They told me it was in the wrong warehouse....(that is their problem not mine).

Buying from Instawares is a nightmare. A waffle cone maker that was supposed to ship in 24 hours took more than 6 weeks w/ no communication from the company whatsoever. Customer Service is a joke--still waiting for a response. One of the accessory pieces that was supposed to be included with it did not ship, and at this point, I guess it never will. Dealing w/ them is not worth saving $10!

Instawares gets 3 "check-marks" out of five. That means 40% of shoppers had bad experiences. I was one. I ordered a product, found it wasn't in stock and immediately canceled the order. After many, many letters including one to the state of Georgia Consumers Affairs Office, and after SEVEN MONTHS I got my money back, and it was small money at that! This is the worse company I've ever encountered on the Internet. This is the slimiest of the slime...a complete embarrassment to all other retailers. Beware!

Instawares never kept their promises to ship, been nearly 2 months. Customer service is a joke with these people...now fighting to get my money back.

I called on 7/27/06 looking for my order - was told it would be rerouted to a different warehouse to be filled. Where is it ? I'm going to dispute the charge when I see it appear on my credit card. I have yet to follow up this order. I was considering additional purchases but am waiting to see their fufillment of my first order prior to placing any other. I do not have the time in my busy day to return to vendors to get them to do their jobs. If this company requires follow up to get them to ship then I will pass on using them in the future.

It was wonderful...........:) I had placed an order through Amazon.com (at almost $15.00 higher), and although the product was supposedly in stock, they kept changing the shipping/delivery date. So after almost five (5) weeks of dealing with them, I searched the web and found the Instawares site. I placed the order around 5:00p.m. on July 16th, and it was delivered around 10:00a.m. on July 19th. Now, that's incredible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ordered 5K of product. Web site said: in stock. They said they would ship within 7-14 business days. When I checked on the order, there was no order and they had no product to deliver. Said products were back ordered. I cancelled the order due to their inability to deliver on their promise in the promised time. They said they would issue a credit card refund within 48 hours. Now, I find this will be 2 months - if ever. Further investigation has shown that: INSTAWARES IS TAKING ORDERS, NOT DELIVERING, AND KEEPING THE CASH. THEY ARE A COMPANY IN TROUBLE; VENDORS ARE REQUESTING TO BE TAKEN OFF THEIR WEBSITE. THEY ARE 2 MONTHS PAST DUE ON THEIR OWN BILLS. DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM. |

They suck!!!!!! I ordered a ice machine back on 5/20/06 before my restuarant was about to be on 6/12/06 to this today 7/27/06, I have yet to receive my ice machine or refund. I called them every other day and asked them where the ice machine is. All they can say is there has been a delay at the werehouse. They don't know where it is. I called them on 6/29/06 and ask for a refund, still haven't got it yet.

I placed an order and paid for "expedited shipping". My card was charged as soon as the order was placed, but the order was not received for a week. The customer service number was busy, and the online help was useless. By the time I received my order, it was incomplete, and the plates were cracked/crushed. Some plates were missing, and were not packaged properly. Also, the price for the damaged plates I did receive were reduced! This company is absolute crap, and should be reported to the Better Business Bureau.

Called them, item was out of stock at the warehouse and would be shipped from another warehouse. The only merchant I've dealt with that takes your money before item is shipped. Definitely will not order from them again.

I placed an order for my restaurant a month ago. Credit card was charged and the product order was never forwarded to the manufacturer to be processed. And, the product was in stock! Promises of "It will ship this week", week after week got old. Accounts Receivable has verified getting my payment. Accounts Payable stated that there "is a hold on processing the order" but, would not give a reason. Asked to speak with "Bonnie King" the Manager of Accounts Payable but again was only given "voice mail". No supervisor (Kimberly Anderson or Alex Hunley) would return my calls only stating the the sales rep (Eric Edmunds) will call me back in an hour. He never does. I am just one of many who ordered online from this company, was charged right away, was given a delivery date of November
30, didn't arrive, I had to call them to be told it was on a six week back order, canceled the order and was told I would get a refund in two months. After many, many emails and phone calls, it is mid-July and I don't have my refund yet and after reading the reviews here, I learn that I am not a special isolated case. Why is this company still in business? I don't think I will ever get my money back. I am sending in a complaint to the Georgia Attorney General's Office and hope others do the same, maybe we can close them down. Please, do not order from them and go through this. I wish I had read this before ordering. |

Very slow shipping. Bad phone support. I was told my order would ship twice and it did not ship both times promised. I finally cancelled the order and was told that I would receive email to confirm the cancellation. I never received the email. After posting a complaint with paypal I finally received my order. I ordered a $300 chair, but it was hard and uncomfortable, and one of the adjustable levers didn't work (an important one!). I sent three emails to their customer support trying to get someone to help me figure out why it wasn't working, but to this day they still have not returned any of my emails. Once they get your ca$h, they ignore you. Now I've spend $300 on a chair that is uncomfortable and doesn't fully work, so I have to write off that money and get another one elsewhere. That is NOT good customer service. I feel that others should be aware of how this company does business, and BEWARE. I am not a fussy customer, but I'd expect emails to at least get responded to. I'm not sure I'll ever buy a $300 product online ever again, and certainly not from this idiotic company.

Do not order from this place. Their website showed the item is available and can be ship 2-3 days. I placed the order on 05/22/06. I followed up on 06/09/06. The item has not shipped due to special order reasons. Again on 06/23/06, it still has not shipped. My credit card was charged on the same day the order was placed. I'm not sure if this practice is legal but it's unethical. Most business billed their customers when the product had been shipped. I can not cancel because of the special order item. They assured me that I will receive my order next Thurs 06/29/06.
BTW: when call in, expect waiting time to be at least 15-20 min to speak to a live person. |
