Would never order from Zales again!

Zales has been the worst experience of my life. I wouldn't use Zales again under any circumstances... Zales lied to me !!!

Product never shipped ... No order tracking on internet or by phone (just order accepted and in stock)!! Not true order never shipped (Zales said back order back ordered 7+ weeks after order, 2 days before Christmas)) No customer service .. it appears ZALES is just a front for taking orders ... once order is placed, it is sent to another company for processing and drop shipping!!!

Ordered a ring on 11/8 as a Christmas present (promised delivery 4-6 weeks). On 11/9 I emailed and asked if I could change the size from 7 to 6. Here is ZALES response:

"Thank you for contacting Customer Care at www.zales.com. You would have to take it to the store to have it sized like they said. We do apologize for any inconvenience. "

ZALES Eden Prairie Mail suggested I buy a Warranty for $30 that would cover resizing...

I accepted this but questioned why, if the order was really in ZALES system they could not changes it... Answer: Order not really processed by Zales?? This was on 11/10 2 days after placing the order...

Order did not arrive in 4 weeks, I called several times to check on the order ... I became apparent that Zales had NO INFORMATION on the status of the order. Although they continued to promise it would arrive by Christmas, my last call was on the Monday before Christmas -- I was told "no problem -- it will arrive by Christmas" -- On Thursday (before Christmas, Sat. Night) I received an automated email address to "undisclosed-recipients" stating:

"Dear Valued Customer, We regret to inform you that there has been a shipping delay from our vendor in receiving inventory to fulfill your order. Unfortunately, we do not expect to receive the inventory in time for delivery by the Christmas Holiday. Our vendor has advised us that they will be fulfilling the order sometime in mid January."
it then said
"In consideration of the delay, we are sending you a free 5 X 7 picture frame for your inconvenience."

A $1 picture frame -- ridiculous and insulting!!!

ZALES LIED right up to my last phone stated my ordered would be delivered by Christmas ...

I question whether Zales sends these orders outside the US to be processed, where labor is cheap -- (the ring ordered included engraving) ... maybe my order is really in Mexico or China??
That seems like the most logical conclusion!!
