It connects directly to the internal IDE controller in the 570, which means you do not need a separate adapter card for the drive. Its IDE interface allows it to reach a maximum data transfer rate of 3.6MB per second. This drive is extremely portable, weighing just .63lbs and shipping with its own carrying case. IBM supports this drive with a three-year Customer Carry-in Exchange warranty.
