A zoom microphone automatically adjusts with the lens for optimal melding of picture and sound, while wind-noise reduction helps to eliminate unwanted distraction. And an automatic soft-skin function detects skin tones to diminish the look of wrinkles and blemishes.

The Bottom Line: Save your money until you can purchase a better quality camcorder to preserve your memories.
Review: I bought this camera for $250 on Black Friday. It was replacing an old Sony 8mm. After much research it seemed that Mini DV was the way to go.

A good first mini DV camcorder

The Bottom Line: I would recommend this for the average user looking to capture memories...it's not that expensive for a first unit and is worth the money
Review: My wife finally pushed hard enough to get me to upgrade from our Hi8 big camcorder to a new Mini DV camcorder. I did quite a bit of research...looked at Sony, Canon, JVC and Pansonic primarily. Decided I didn't like the Sony's because of the touch...

Review: this camera is good if you outdoors and in good light. otherwise forget it. low light is exaggerated to darker. the light is good for subjects only a 2.5 feet away. and the light makes everything blueish and the white stabilizer doesn't correct it...
