Not very practical

The Bottom Line: Sorry, I'm not willing to risk getting locked inside my pantry or 3rd storey bedroom.
Review: I went out and bought a pile of these based on the last reviewer, and will now be returning all of them. Hopefully they'll take back the one we opened too. Thank goodness I found them locally and didn't pay shipping charges to get these things.

My experience with the Safety 1st Lever Handle Lock: it disable the door mechanism!!

The lever handle lock was difficult to install, but once it was on it worked great for a month or two. Then one day out of the blue it slipped, disabling the door mechanism and making it impossible for me to open the door. Not good. It worked good while it worked, but when it failed it failed hard. So I would not use it again, unless we move and it fits the next doors better. Nice concept though. Pros: concept, easy for adults to lock/unlock Cons: difficult to install, it failed
