Audigy 2 Value

The Bottom Line: Good card for games/playbacks. Vendors get the label "greedy" when hiding an add-on product that hogs another PCI slot plus costs more than the sound card.
Review: Why did I buy?
I wanted a cheap yet dependable card that could xfer 24-bit digital audio to my hard drive without data conversion. I wanted my 24-bit mixes from my recorder untouched as a bit-to-bit transfer.
