The Zoom/Modem V.92 EXT Model 3049 is a high-performance 56K fax modem that plugs into the serial port of a computer using a Windows, Macintosh, Linux, UNIX or other appropriate operating system. The Model 3049's performance is enhanced by an on-board Controller, DSP (Digital Signal Processor) and ITU V.92 / V.44 standard compatibility.

Be careful if you have a newer PC

Review: I picked this modem because I wanted to be able to easily swap it between 2 machines..one Windows XP box and one Linux box. The problem is, if you have a newer processor with hyperthreading technology, the drivers will NOT work with it. After XP...
