Abit's Muddy Venture into AMD64 Land

The Bottom Line: If you own an AMD64 and an Antec PSU, steer clear from the AV8. It's extras bundle is super-light, features nowhere-to-be-found tech support, and unexplainable hardware incompatibilities.

Abit NF8-V mobo (mostly nice board, LOUSY TECH SUPPORT!)

The Bottom Line: Do not buy an Abit NF8 if you want to run a 64-bit OS and use Ethernet. Do not expect much from Abit's tech support.

Erroneous cpu temp readings!

Review: Bought one and it started alarming and shutting down due to high cpu temps. RMA'd it, vendor put a new AV8 under my cpu and again the same problems, just without the audible alarms this time. Read over at Abit forums, there is a 26 page thread...
