No better than Camcorder's built-in mic

I used this on a Canon ZR-65 camcorder. I did not get better sound. On "normal" setting, speech was barely audible. On the "Tele" setting, the sensitivy was the same as the ZR-65's built-in condenser mic, but there was a lot of hiss, and the sound was tinny. I prefer to use the built-in mic to either setting of the ATR-55 external mic.

Use this mic if you want to position it close to your subject, separated from the camcorder, with an extension lead. If you are expecting to get better sound while it's mounted on the camcorder (at least with the Canon Zr-65), you'll be disappointed. I am returning the mic.
