Not happy with Bosch Dishwasher
Pros:
It does look good, and is exceptionally quiet except when the water drains.
Cons:
Poor cleaning, indifferent customer service reps.
The Bottom Line:
I would never buy a Bosch dishwasher again, based on the lazy customer service and the low cleaning power.

Author's Review
Moved in to a brand new condo in NYC, all Viking appliances with the exception of a Bosch dishwasher. Within 5 minutes of the dishwasher's first run, water was leaking out of the bottom all over my new wood floors. I stopped the machine immediately called the building manager who advised me to call Bosch because it was under warranty.
I called Bosch, and they gave me several phone numbers of independent repair companies to call to come out. When I called the one on top of the list they informed me that they would have to charge $300 for the visit. I argued that it was a brand new machine and was under warranty, that I shouldn't have to pay to have it fixed! They said I should call back Bosch and tell them I wanted to 'schedule one of their certified technicians to come out', this way it would be on their dime. Not mine.
So I called back Bosch, they claimed all their techs were out on vacation for the month of August. They could send someone out in September, 4 weeks away! Meanwhile you can imagine the condition of that water which sat in the bottom of my dishwasher for a month! Yuck!! It even etched marks in the stainless steel tub. When the Bosch tech came out he found the installers had forgotten to take out a piece of packing material that was screwed into the frame of the machine. Hence the leak. The repair guy was in and out in 10 minutes.
The Bosch Dishwasher runs now without leaking but the dishes do not come out clean. Especially compared to my old Miele dishwasher. I have to scrub everything before I wash, even the pot scrubber mode doesn't do the trick.
And then there's that irritating passive drying mode, where the machine beeps constantly at you after it is finished to alert you to open the door to let the steam escape and speed the drying process. Yet there is always water collected on top of the glasses and bowls, no matter what you do. Drives both me and my husband nuts to have to baby sit the darn machine only to get such poor performance. I much prefer my old basic Miele where I could load in much more and everything would come out so amazingly clean and dry.
