Champagne for New Years without the Hangover
Date of Review: Dec 26, 2005
The Bottom Line: Cheap thrills come from Burts Bees.
Talk about a quality company that makes a quality product! I first discovered Burts Bees in the late 90's, an interesting product line that based its ingredients on beeswax and honey. Baby, it's come a long way, but stayed the same.
Since then B Bees has spread across country and out of specialty stores to be featured in shops like Walgreens and Savon Drugs. Both a hinderence and a benefit, this has turned B Bees into a better profiting company. To my benefit, I can now find it everywhere and so can my Mom, who, put a lipgloss stick in my stocking this year and lives in nowheresville Wisconsin. It's nice, I can still get quality product from a drug store and from my Mom.
A couple of years ago, B Bees decided to start making makeup for the "I don't really want to look like I am wearing or wear makeup" kind of woman. Basically the chap-stick-and go kind of natural beauty we all claim to be at one time or another. This was a brilliant idea. Without letting go of their integrity or ingredients to base on (natural products without too many synthetic ingredients), they intro'd lip tints and blushers, eventually extending their line to include the such reviewed Lip Shimmer.
Out of all of the Lip Shimmers, Champagne is the best. It is an opalescent stick of peppermint wonder. Honestly, I am a little sensitive to peppermint so I have to use this sparingly, but hey, if you gotta be sensitive to a product let it be Burt's Bees. I find the shimmer stick much, much softer on the lips than their beeswax chap stick or pot gloss. In addition, it is thinner and easier to throw in a wallet if you are out on the town without room to carry a purse.
All in all, this is a quality product that shall not be ignored.
And guess what? It is almost 2006, so why not have a glass of champagne with the champagne shimmer stick? I promise it won't leave a stain on the glass.
