Canon EF-S 17-55 A Great Lens for All Occasions

I purchased the Canon EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 IS USM Lens primarily for my wedding photography business.  This lens has proven to be more valuable to me than I ever could have imagined.

The images it produces are very sharp.  I use this lens in my studio now because it really brings out sharp, crisp colors.

This lens also has a great wide-angle feature.  I have been able to get families with as many as 50 people into one photo.  It makes those stressful shoots less stressful.

The manual focus feature is very easy to use.  I used to just rely on the Auto-focus feature but now take pleasure in being able to sharpen the features I want to thru the manual capabilities.

The f/2.8 is awesome.  It really brings forth a great depth of field in almost every situation.  From a cloudy misty day to a sunshine filled day the main subjects and their colors pop.

The only complaint I could come up with for this lens is that is was really expensive.  However, I would not compromise a lesser quality for a smaller price tag.  Purchasing this lens on the gray market can save you some money but you forfeit your right to claim under the 1-year Canon USA warranty.  I have had this lens for 18 months and did not need the warranty.
