Features
The Canon PowerShot A410 Digital Camera has many features. It is an update to the 3.2 Megapixel Canon PowerShot A400. It has a 3.2x optical zoom. Another feature of this phone is that is uses 2 AA batteries so that you do not always have to charge them. It may cost more money, but to me it is more convenient.
This digital camera also can focus in the dark. It automatically adjusts to the colors of dark or night. The camera also has a built-in flash. If you push the take picture button softly, not hard enough to take the picture, it will show a little green box in the middle of the screen to show the center of the picture. This Canon camera has a shutter speed range of 1-1/2,000 seconds.
The Canon PowerShot camera also comes with a small hole in the bottom of it which is for the tripod. The camera does not include the tripod in the box so you will need to buy that separately. It has an automatic timer that you may set to take a picture with the tripod.
Ease of Use
The Canon PowerShot A410 Digital Camera is very easy to use no matter what age group uses it. All that has to be done is push the ON button, and turn the dial to the picture of the red camera. Then it is time to start snapping away at whatever images you choose. When you want to view the picture or pictures that you have just taken, turn the dial to the left until it is on the PLAY button. If you are at a more professional level, you may want to change the dial setting and settings from there on. For instance, in the dial setting with the Special Scene Mode (SCN), it has features for darkening skin and different options. Some of these options are the following: Portrait, Night Snapshot, Kids & Pets, Indoor, Foliage, Snow, Beach, and Fireworks settings for different atmospheres of pictures.
Camera Comes With
The camera itself comes with some items. It comes with the Canon PowerShot A410 Digital Camera, a wrist strap Ws-800, 2 AA-type Alkaline batteries, Interface Cable IFC-400 PCU, a Multimedia Card MMC-16M, and CD-ROM Software.
The memory stick that comes with the camera (Multimedia card MMC-16M) does not hold much memory at all. With this reasoning, I got another chip for my camera. This chip was the SD Impact 256 MB, which holds tons more memory. This chip made the cost increase about $35.00.
Picture Quality
The Canon PowerShot A410 Digital Camera has great picture quality. Every single picture I have taken has been very clear. The camera produces excellent, sharp, and richly colored pictures.
The pictures still come out very sharp if you are printing 4x6 or 5x7, but going any bigger, like to an 8x10, the photo will be a little bit fuzzy and not as visible. Since this camera is only a 3.2 megapixel, you may want to get a higher megapixel camera, such as a 5.1, for printing larger, sharper pictures.
Computer Connectivity
To get your pictures from your camera to your computer can be done in either of two ways. First you may connect you Interface Cable (USB Connector) to your computer in the appropriate spot, then connect it to your camera in the appropriate spot. Then boxes will show up, and then click do as follows. Secondly, you may do what I did. I removed my memory stick from my camera, and since I have a new computer, I inserted the stick straight into the computer. Otherwise, you could put the stick into a memory card reader in which you may purchase for about $25.00 to $30.00.
