We love our camera!

We purchased this camera a little over a year ago. We were wanting a camera that was easy to use for vacations and such but we also wanted a camera we could "play with" when we got more into photography.

The camera has been fairly easy to use, we had a little trouble at first taking focused pictures. Once we got used to the camera, our pictures were turning out wonderful. A lot of the special features on the camera are somewhat useless to us. For instance, I am not planning on taking pictures underwater anytime soon. However, I have played a lot with the color settings and special effects to pass the time. I am extremely pleased with the picture quality. The basic features and menus are very intuitive making it easy for the first time user.

One of our main concerns with purchasing a camera was durability. We have taken our camera on a few vacations, including a (rainy) backpacking trip. It has been bumped and dropped a few times and shoved into my purse more times than I can count. So far (knock on wood) the camera is still working perfectly. We had one worrisome moment when the automatic lenscap froze open, I suspect that will break sooner or later as it is made out of thin plastic.

Our biggest trouble has been the batteries. The camera uses 4 AA batteries, I would recommend getting some quality rechargeable batteries.
