The Bottom Line: This is a great camera, it has an amazing zoom and there are a lot of SLR-like features, but, remember, don't expect a dSLR, it's still far from that.

Great mid-level digital

The Bottom Line: A great camera for a wide range of shooting conditions. Probably the most cost-effective choice available.
Review: Although it designed to look and feel like an SLR, the S2 IS is really more of a point-and-shoot model. This perhaps explains why Canon chose to include only the lossy .jpg format for images, which I expected would be a problem.
