When they say base model, they mean it

Date of Review:  Nov 29, 2003
The Bottom Line: A pure, basic, truck, nothing fancy, just what you need to get you and your stuff from here to there. It is also very smooth and comfortable along the way.
Review: I had a Chevy S-10 pickup which I bought new in 1991 and sold in 1995, putting on 64,000 miles along the way. With the exception of a cracked distributor cap at about 40,000, I had no problems whatsoever with this truck, and only sold it because of...

1991 Blazer S-10 Sport

Date of Review:  Jun 26, 2000
Review: The 1991 model of the Chevrolet Blazer in my opinion, is the greatest model to date. The massive 4.3 liter V6 gets with the program. Great power, great acceleration and decent overall fuel economy round out this great truck. It is very capable...

Super Reliable

Date of Review:  Oct 14, 2002
The Bottom Line: If you need something you can count on everyday of the week and need it cheap. Look no further than this s-10.
Review: Mine is pushing 300,000 miles. 4 door 4x4 5 speed manual s-10 blazer. This thing since new has been there for me. I go outside, I turn the key, the engine starts and I am off. I use it for offroading, towing my 23 foot wellcraft boat (5,000lbs) with...

It's ain't the years, It's the miles

Date of Review:  Nov 3, 2001
The Bottom Line: A good truck for those needing a spare vehicle or an everyday work vehicle.
Review: When I took a part-time job in a town 45 miles away my wife and I decided that I should look for "a little truck to beat up and down the road." After a few weeks of searching I found a fair priced '91 S-10 with 150,000 miles on it. The whole idea...

The Truck For Mechanics Only

Date of Review:  Jun 25, 2003
The Bottom Line: Avoid. Too many costly repairs.
Review: We bought our Chevy S10 pickup three years ago used with 87,000 miles on it for my husband to drive to work. It is a very nice looking older truck with a V-6 engine and a rear sliding glass cab window.

It has been nothing but one problem...

Review: I was graduating from high school in 2002 and in 2001 decided I wanted me a small pickup truck. I looked high and low for one I could afford ($2000 or below)

I found my 91 burgendy s10 on a car lot saturday morning, it was off to the side...

I LOVE MY BLAZER!

Date of Review:  May 28, 2003
The Bottom Line: If you are looking at buying one, do it. If you want something new, Chevrolet is the place to look.
Review: I am the proud owner of a 1991 Chevrolet, black four door blazer. I bought it in 1998 and have had very few problems with it, mostly regular maintenance: replace battery, spark plugs and an alternator. My baby car is still running great (to the...

The Bottom Line: good dependable truck

Not A Bad Buy

Date of Review:  Jul 11, 2006
Review: We bought this car for high school, and I've currently had it for about 5 years or so. It runs well...most of the time. We had to get a new alternator and the AC doesn't work great. Also, since it's rear wheel drive, it's not really a great truck...
