Author's Review
Chevy has reached the top once again. The 2002 Z71 Tahoe is in a class of its own. The SUV of all SUVs, the Chevy Tahoe gives you the room of an SUV, but handles like a sedan. The cornering abilities on the new Tahoe has been greatly improved since previous models - cornering, maneuverability into tight parking spaces, and u-turns are made so simple. Also, the suspension has been improved since previous models - riding over rough spots, railroad tracks, and speed bumps is less noticeable with the smoother suspension.
The Z71 package offers rugged exterior upgrades such as fender wheels, tubular side steps, towing package, increased luggage rack, and 4-wheel drive. However, with the Z71 package, most of the standard convenience options found in a Tahoe LT are taken away - heated seats, memory seats, climate control, to name a few.
For the price and exterior image of the 2002 Tahoe Z71, the price is worth it.
