Great product

I bought a pair of microTalk2's recently. Here are lists of things that I like as well as things that I don't like.

I like:
1. Compact in size (comparing with other popular brands).
2. Fold-away antenna makes it more convenient to carry.
3. Power saver circuit makes batteries run longer.
4. Lots of channels to choose from.
5. The strap hangs and secures the radio anywhere I like.
6. Voice scrambling feature adds privacy during 2-way conversation.
7. Range extender feature stretches the distance to the maximum.
8. Backlite makes it easy to work in the dark.
9. Lock feature prevents setting being changed accidentally.

I don't like:
1. It uses 4 AAA batteries. They are more expensive than AA batteries. I don't like it but I accept it. It is so compact because of using AAA batteries.
2. Very bad design of the 'spkr & mic' cover. Since it is made of rubber, once it has been pulled out, it is very difficult to plug it back. It could take you half an hour and you still cannot plug it back to its original place. My best record is 30 seconds.
3. Bad displacement of the 4 buttons in the front. Sometimes I mixed up the buttons, especially the 'Enter' and 'Func' buttons.
4. PTT (Push To Talk) button is hard to press. My 4 year old son needs to use both hands to press it and make it occasionally work.

Overall, I don't regret to choose Cobra. I did thorough comparison between Cobra and Motorola before I committed to Cobra. I found Cobra had more features that met my needs with the price I spent.
