CBK-400 New Model

Date of Review:  Oct 27, 2008
Review: After my Regal maker blew a belt and I couldnt get a replacement I decided on the Cuisinart. Unpacked it, set washed out the parts and proceeded to mix my first batch of basic bread. When I lifted up the cover to put the basket in the left hinge...

My first bread machine, and I'm happy with it

Date of Review:  Dec 14, 2007
The Bottom Line: I would buy this machine again, because it met or exceeded my expectations. I loved the rosemary bread and the dill bread. Many recipes to try...
Review: I've always been happy with the quality of the Cuisinart brand, and after reviewing the features of the various bread machines, I settled on this one. The machine is easy to use, easy to clean, and produces some nice bread. The instruction manual...

the worst bread maker I ever had

Date of Review:  Dec 19, 2007
Review: I tried over 10 recipes I tried about 10 different recipes so far and some of them I repeated over 5 times trying to tune them up hoping that with some changes they would finally work. But most of them didn't work! Unbelievable. Maybe I am too...

Noisy brick maker - back to the store!

Date of Review:  Feb 11, 2007
The Bottom Line: Don't buy it. If you did, take it back. If you can't, sell it used. If you can't sell it, at least it's stainless so makes good scrap.
Review: My old Black&Decker broke down after five years of almost daily bread making. I bought my Cuisinart CBK-200 based on a previous review and considering the price was expecting something substantially better than the B&D one. I was severely...

Good bread machine

Date of Review:  May 16, 2006
Review: I bought the cuisinart after seriously considering the 2 lb zojirushi machine (with 2 mixing paddles). I preferred the stainless design, and wanted to try the artisan and low carb breads. Also, my mother has the zojirushi and finds that the bread...

Cuisinart CBK-200 Bread Machine: AVOID!

Date of Review:  May 31, 2009
The Bottom Line: Do not get this bread machine.
Review: This break machine offers an impressive list of features. It's easy to use, makes good bread (with help - see below) and can make three sizes of loaves with three shades of crust. It has two very serious problems, however.

First, and worst,...

So far so good...mostly

Date of Review:  Feb 16, 2006
The Bottom Line: Looks great, nice baking, concerns about longevity.
Review: Our old 2 lb Black and Decker finally died after 10 years (yes 10) and 100 s of loaves. We liked the look of the Cuisinart and thought the convection feature would be interesting. We have only had it for a month (approximately 6 to 7 loaves) and so...

Great Machine but Recipe Book Off

Date of Review:  Nov 30, 2005
Review: I bought the new Cuisinart bread machine this year. After a few flops with the Cuisinart I found out the cookbook that came with it is off on some of its recipes. I now use recipes from other bread machine recipe books and it is making great loafs...

Consistent results. High on style and function.

Date of Review:  Oct 21, 2006
The Bottom Line: I recommend it because it looks good, works good, and is reasonable in price.
Review: ***Update 10/20/2006***

Why did I buy it?

I purchased this machine in Sept 2005. I purchased it based on the name and style/size. The stainless finish is nice to look at.

Best Bread Machine We've Had

Date of Review:  Jan 15, 2007
The Bottom Line: It bakes delicious and attractive loaves of bread, and offers many loaf and dough selections (including low carb) along with a great recipe book.
Review: We've enjoyed making bread over the years and have gone from scratch baking to machine. This is our 3rd and has the best features and does the best job so far. I was especially pleased to find low carb breads in the excellent recipe book which came...
