Aesthetically pleasing, horrible rice no more! Update July'09

Review: I gave this rice cooker a 2nd chance and it's not as bad as I first thought. It's making consistent well cooked rice. I had to figure it out to get good results.

Sorry I bought it...

The Bottom Line: Not recommended. This product forces a cleanup of the counter top and the thermostat failed.
Review: I've used this rice cooker for about a year and half. It's all stainless steel design and how nice it looked next to the other stainless appliances in the newly redone kitchen is what sold me on buying it. I should have done some more research.

Looks good, but I can make a mess on the stovetop for less $

Review: Cooking directions are poor. A custom sized measuring cup is provided for the rice, and the cook pot has gradations that are also custom. These work only if you're using white rice. If not, you use a table in the book, but there is no translation...

oops! Cuisinart goofed on this one

Review: This is actually a dangerous product. You can plug it in and no light will come on until a certain time or temp is reached. Imagine spilling or tipping it over and not know the contents are hot! I've scorched rice a half dozen times at all levels...

Had to return product twice due to boiling over

Review: Received product for Christmas present, but it kept boiling over on the stove with just one cup of rice. We returned it for another one, but experienced same problem. The lid is also impossible to clean since it collects moisture under the lip...

The Bottom Line: I'd have to say no. Rice should be one of the easiest things to make and this doesn't let you.
