Cuisinart Food Processor :)

Wow! what a food processor. Has some negatives about it but the positives out way them. I'll get right to it, no need to bore you you with needless rhetoric.
First off, I would like to tell you what I like about this Cuisinart food processor. The DLC-2014 is a very powerful processor, it can help you speed your food prep time significantly. The other day I decided to shred some cheese, in practically no time at all my bulk block cheese was all shredded. I have used actual cheese shredders, and the ones that I have used come nowhere close to the speed of this machine. This machine is versatile. I went from shredding cheese early in the day to making milkshakes later on (perfect). I love the dough mode. Basically allowing the machine to tell when the dough is ready. I have made cookies (Love this) in the dough mode. They come out perfect every time. It does a great job of slicing fruits and vegetables. The LARGE feed tube is just awesome. It is so much easier to use. Then the additional small center feed tube is nice for adding liquids etc. I also love the large 14-cup bowl, although it may be a bit excessive for one person.(LOL) This processor runs rather quietly, unlike my blender that I no longer use.
As for the negatives, I have some problems with the design of this product. It is rather heavy to lug around, so you need to have a place for it on your counter. Also you must have it very close to a plug because the cord is pretty short. When I make liquids such as milkshakes, it would be nice to have a pour spout on the work bowl. It is pretty hard to hit the glass without one. It was easy to clean, but there were a couple of spots that get water and you can't dry. The other problem that I found is that there was no speed adjustment. This is really not that big of a deal but I think it would be nice if you had the option.
Overall this product is definitely a keeper. It can be a little costly depending on where you buy it, but it is worth it. This processor like any other product has a few things wrong with it, but I would get it again any day. The only other processor I would consider is the Cuisinart MP-14 limited edition. Which is a nice processor but Expensive. Thanks for reading my review, Hope it helps you out!
