Author's Review
I purchased this computer about a year ago. First impressions were good. It preformed competently when I was checking my email and browsing the internet. However I noticed that it took quite a while to start everything up when I booted the computer. Furthermore, it froze just a bit to often for my taste. I also noticed that when I tried to play games on it, they ran very slowly, so much so as to keep me from playing at all, and these where games that were a few years old. However, I attribute a lot of the slowness of the computer to the Windows Vista operating system. So I ran Linux on the computer for a while, and it ran quite competently. After that I ran Windows XP on it. However, to my dismay, I found out the network card didn't support windows XP, and there were no drivers for that model running XP, so I was forced to buy a new network card and install it before I could get any internet. Furthermore, there is an ongoing issue with the graphics which is as of yet unresolved.
All in all however, if you are just looking for a cheap computer that you can check your email on, this will work fine. But, if you want to play games, or do any other processing power intensive operations, you may want a different computer. Also, I would suggest changing your operating system to Linux (I used Ubuntu) for better results out of the computer, just as long as you don't need to run any windows-only programs.
