Author's Review
I have been with the Sims franchise since the beginning. I own all expansions for The Sims and The Sims 2, and I eagerly await The Sims 3. I've seen the good as well as the bad, and I can confidently say Open For Business is the best.
In this pack, there is the standard addition of more home items and career opportunities. The best part though, is the option to start your own business. Stores can be opened in your home, or in a lot purchased downtown. Literally anything can be sold in these stores from furniture to food. There are new skills to be learned such as robot building, toy creating, and flower arranging. You can even run your own restaurant!
Things I Love:
- The complete freedom to build, decorate, and stock any kind of store you can dream of.
- The ability to hire, fire, and manage workers in your business.
- Servos are back, and ready to clean your house.
- New objects are useful in building a successful business.
- The business star rating system gives Sims rewards for good business practices.
Things I Hate:
- Employees are VERY finicky and difficult to keep happy.
- Restaurants are almost impossible to run, except for the most advances player.
