Friday's Back

When this movie first starts up, it is kind of suprising, which is good for a movie based on Christmas time. Then we are back where it all started, in the hood.

In this movie we have a ghetto Santa Clause and land lady, Hooded out shopping center which includes a dirty donut shop ,pimp shop, along with the family bar-b-que business. Back from the previous Friday's are the whole family (Craig's) and we cannot forget about Panky (Pinky).

This movie is funny from the start. Although it may not be the type of laugh all over the place type of funny like the first Friday, it is more of a laid back type of funny movie. I thought that it was worth seeing , but would not go back to the big screen to see it again, unless I had plenty of extra money. The new characters did a really good job and added lots of extra laughs. The plot was here and there and could of been better, but getting robbed by Santa and losing it all before Christmas, including their rent money is pretty damn funny.

Thats pretty much what this movie is about. Losing the only way to get the rent paid and trying to figure out how to make up for it. With Craig and Day Day in control they are bound for trouble. The land lady's son straight out of prison in which he was without females way to long added to how bad they really needed that money. Hopefully along the way they could get that crooked Santa back.

This is not another teen movie meaning it is more suitable for grown folk. I would not recommend this movie to anyone exspectind an oscar performance although the acting is excellent. It seems like Ice Cube is getting older and more laid back which is setting a more laid back tone for the Friday series.
