Bad Design. Bad Quality.

I chose this model under the theory that I should not buy the most expensive model but I should not skimp on cost either. Bad theory. This model cost a lot more than the loud, plain dishwasher I replaced, but works a lot more poorly.

First, the layout. I quickly discovered there is not a lot of room in the bottom rack, particularly given the low-hanging spinner-thingy. It's difficult to fit longer utensils in the side racks without the spinner crashing to a halt.

The upper deck is over-designed with a two-level balcony-style layout...that's the only way I can describe it. All I can say is it must have looked good on paper to someone who never did his or her own dishes.

Also, it doesn't clean well unless I set it to the most energy inefficient settings.

Okay, I could live with the funky layout if it showed quality benefits. Alas, no. The springs that counter-balance the door popped off within a month. I'm reluctant to take the unit out from under the counter to try and fix the springs. The result is that the door crashes open to unsuspecting users.

The last straw is when the upper level spinner-thingy fell out. I was able to reattach but it simply fell out again, so I operate the dishwasher without it.

Quick review: Don't buy this garbage.
