Product Review

At least it's the right colour

Pros:  Comfort, external noise blocking and accessories package

Cons:  Sound quality just isn't there for the price

Overall Rating: 2/5 stars

Author's Review

I bought the JBL Reference 220s for my iPod, and tested it back-to-back with the headphones supplied with the iPod. Unfortunately, these headphones were not up to what I believe is JBL's reputed product quality. Overall, sound quality was muted - the highs and base were missing. On the plus side, external sound was muted as well. Comfort-wise, it was fine - with 3 different ear-canal sizes. Other accessories that it came with included a case, a retaining clip for sports activities, and a jack adaptor for plugging into a stereo - no extensions. I barely used them before putting them back in the box to return. I will be looking for either Sony, Sennheiser, or Shure to replace these.
