Author's Review
I had tried the comparable Brother personal laser printer, and took it back the next day! Although this HP LaserJet 1300 is a little more expensive, it is worth the investment! The print quality on photos and graphics is exceptional, and the speed is ideal for almost any small office or home. Believe me, save yourself the effort of running back and forth to the same computer store to try to save a few dollars by testing other less expensive models... purchase this laser printer and never spend another concerned moment about the decision. I've already used it for quite a number of small office projects, including monthly invoices for hundreds of customers. In fact, I'm planning on using it to print up some graphics-intensive promotional sales flyer to include with the next customer mailer. If I had a complaint at all, I would suggest that an optional paper tray be made available for this unit that is designed more solid, similar to the paper trays of more expensive HP laser printer models. The consumer-friendly paper tray included works well, but is difficult to remove and reload as it comes apart too easily while holding in your hands. With that exception, this machine is built strong to take the work I throw at it without difficulty or feed jams.
