At work we had problably about 200 of the HP 6L's out in the field. Overall, this is a great little printer, with a very few problems. Unfortunately, they have discontinued this model, and moved on to the HP1100XL as a replacement. This printer puts out quality black and white print, and the toner goes a long ways. However, it can have a problem of grabbing multiple pages of paper when feeding paper to print. This problem occurs for a few reasons, one the paper is fed downward, and depends on gravity to get the paper to the feed wheels. But more so, this is usually do to paper that is too old, and has been sitting in the paper hopper too long. And I found most of the time simple replacing the paper with new stock, and feeding it correctly in corrects this problem. And if this doesn't resolve it, then the feed rollers may need replacing.
All our customers that had this printer loved it. Some almost refused to give it up when we replaced them. Overall, this is a great printer. And can make a great home printer because it saves desktop space. If you still can find one, it's worth getting if it's in good working condition.
