Better Than Most Reviews

At the risk of jinxing our unit, we have been very satisfied with it during the first complete week of operation.  We found it on sale at Home Depot after a difficult search.  Apparently, stock is best for these in the Fall rather than early Spring, but we had no choice.  Recently, our newly-laid bamboo floors were found to be drying out and the cause was low humidity in our home.  Despite reading how hard the HWM-330 is to refill, we have not experienced this.  Even my partner, who has arthritic hands, has not complained when using the kitchen sink to refill it.  The critical issue is the height of one's faucet rather than the reservoir design for the unit!  We have found we prefer the warm mist over the cool-air versions despite the extra electricity we expect to consume with this humidifier.  (It is great for cleaning one's glasses, as well!)  Our pattern is to fill the reservoir twice a day; however, it will shut off automatically should the water run out.  Unfortunately, this model has no gauge to indicate the achieved humidity level.  We expect that eventually the auto-shutoff will kick in once adequate humidity has been reached but that has not yet happened.
Overall, this unit has been well worth the CAD $42 that we paid for it.  Should this picture change significantly, I shall be back to revise this review.
