DON'T BUY THIS MICROWAVE

by   christine29 ,   Feb 16, 2007

Pros:  It looks very sleek, stylish and modern even thought it doesn't work.

Cons:  It doesn't work, is unreliable, power goes out, fan and light won't work.

Overall Rating: 1/5 stars

Author's Review

We bought this microwave because we thought it would replace the 2nd oven we lost in our remodel. The salesman recommended it. It looked very modern and sleek. After it was installed the fan didn't work and we had to call for service. Then we tried to cook with it and suddenly the power would go out to the oven and a little man appeared on the panel waving his arms and the words "no mains" appeared. The light, fan, and power stayed off until it would suddenly start workin again. We once again called for service and the tech told us to put it on it's own circuit. Thinking that was the problem, we fully expected the microwave to work. It continued to be unreliable and the power would suddenly go out and the little man would reappear with the "no mains" on the panel. Kitchen aid said they would not take this microwave back, but thankfully we bought it at Sears, and we were able to return it and get a different model.
