Kodak HQ Camera
These disposable cameras were very popular when they first hit the market place. Since then, the prices on digital cameras have dropped considerably and nearly everyone can afford one. So who would want one of these
Kodak HQ disposable cameras? Although I've seen some very nice cameras in combat zones, most soldiers carried these
Kodak HQ disposable cameras. When we used the film up in these cameras, we would box them up and send them home. I believe more disposable cameras are being mailed from home from Iraq than anything else. I only carried one hand grenade at a time, so I used my spare pouch as my camera holder. I also had one of these cameras in my HUMMER, one in my assault pack, and several in my large ruck-sack. They are the most used camera in combat.
I also take these cameras out on hunting, fishing and on camping trips. The reason I use these cameras is simple, Theyre cheap. If one gets stepped on, shot, fraged, nuked, stolen, lost or falls overboard, I am not gong to get too bent over it. Soldiers with the nice digital cameras were always worrying about them and sooner or later something will happen to electronic equipment in a combat zone in the desert. Besides not having the stress, I dont need a computer or other equipment to get results from my
Kodak HQ disposable cameras. Besides that I am a novice when it comes to photography. These little cameras are perfect for anyone who is in a place where they do not want to take an expensive camera.
The pictures generally come out pretty nice. There is the occasional glare and what was that? I have several hundred pictures from Iraq that all came from these
Kodak HQ Cameras. I also have a lot of pictures from trips I have taken in the states with these cameras. I am generally satisfied with the picture quality. The flash on these little cameras pack a big punch. These cameras take a decent night photo up to fifteen feet away. The best thing about these cameras is that there is no lag.
My digital camera seems like it takes forever to take the photo after I press the button! These cameras are idiot proof. You wind the camera, press the flash button, get you target in the picture sight and click, its over. The flash can take a few seconds to fully charge and takes a bit longer as you use the film up. Each camera comes with 27 exposures. They also have a shelf life. They are generally good for about two years.

Conclusion
These cameras are very durable and can take some abuse. Every
KODAK camera that I sent home developed without a hitch. These cameras are perfect to take places where you wouldnt take your nice digital cameras. The 800 speed, 35MM film takes presentable photos. This camera is made to be very user friendly and in the most environments possible. It works well in most lighting conditions. The color in the photos are also sharp and generally pretty decent. The downside would be the price you have to pay to get these developed. I'd still rather pay a little more to get the film developed as opposed to breaking or losing my digital camera. Another area where the camera falls short is distance. If you are taking a picture over fifteen feet away the sharpness and quality drops fast. Its works great for taking pictures of friends, family or objects at short distances. I would recommend this camera to any outdoorsman. The
Kodak HQ Camera is one of the best disposable cameras you can buy.
