Love the WM2233H washer and dryer!

We purchased the LG WM2233H washer and dryer together in April 2008.  We replaced some older model Whirlpools and the switch from top to front loading took some adjusting, but our clothes were MUCH cleaner!

We've been very happy with the performance of both machines so far.  Unfortunately, our drain pump has failed and we're currently still waiting on the part for them to fix it.  The service tech said that this is a common problem with LG washers, so watch out for that.

I'm assuming that once we get over this drain pump hurdle that I will return to being happy with my washer and dryer again.

Pros:

The detergent/fabric softener drawer is great!  The cleanliness of the clothes is great!  Perfect operation up until our current drain pump issue.

Cons:

The wash cycle takes longer than it used to on my old top-loader but the clothes are much cleaner and dryer when they come out so drying takes less time.

Unfortunately, our drain pump has gone bad (RIP 10/26/08) and we're currently still without a washer (11/5/08).  We purchased the washer and dryer through Best Buy and Geek Squad manages their service so I'm not sure if it's Best Buy or someone else to blame for the insanely long wait to fix this, but frustrating none the less.

When researching what models to buy we came across a lot of reviewers complaining about a mildewy smell and I can verify that it does happen.  However, I'm lucky and have a laundry room where I can leave the washer door open after I'm done using it and let it air out - this seems to completely solve that problem, but definitely something to keep in mind when purchasing!
