legendary dragoons

Sony's new hit The Legend of Dragoon caught my eyes right away.What really got me hyped about this game is the commercial.Is it as good as it looks? Check out what i think.

The characters in this game are the kind that stick in your mind long after your done with the game.Lets start out with Dart,his a young warrior that is searching out the Black Monster,who kill his parents. Rose is a mysterious warrior who wants to follow Dart.Shana...ahh Shana. she happens to be Darts childhood friend from Seles.There are many more characters but those cover my favorites.

The story line isn't the most complex i've ever seen but it's still great.
It starts like this.Dart is staring into the forest thinking to himself of the chances of war.He is startled by a group of knights on horses.He lets them pass but is caught by the second group of them.They start to ask him questions,Dart doesn't care for this so he draws his sword.Suddenly a giant green dragon appears out of nowhere.The knights already gone so Dart is forced to flea.The dragon catches up to him and he tries to fight it.Dart realizes he is no match and starts to run.The dragon gaining on him,he is pushed aside by a strange woman.They both hide by a rock until the dragon leaves.Dart tries to thank her but she warns him that those knights were heading to Seles to torch it.Seles is Dart's hometown!You then see him running off to Seles.That is the first portion of this epic rpg!

From a technical standpoint this game has superb graphics.The character design is awesome not to mention the dragoons.The cinemas are even better looking then those of ff8,they have incredible detail.The map is a little less than what I imagined because its not free roaming.

The battle system is very original,you have combos you can learn each one getting more difficult.You have two squares and to pull each move you need to line up the outside square with the inside square and press x right away.The enemies can also counter attack and that makes it harder. That was the human form fighting system,as for the dragoon system you have a normal attack and magic.For normal attack you line the dot at the top of the circle repeated times.To change into dragoon form you need sp.You get sp for every combo move you use.

Overall this is a great game with easy controls.

I would recommend this to all rpg fans.
