Logitech fails again.
Pros:
Good hardware, good FPM rate, decent sound with the built in microphone.
Cons:
Software doesn't work well at all, camera needs specific light conditions to be optimized.
The Bottom Line:
Logitech should focus more on their software. They did well with the hardware of this item. I would suggest it to experienced webcam users, but not to a newer user.

I recently bought the double pack of this camera. I bought it due to the variety of features it has, such as: built in microphone, compatibility with all instant messenger programs, and frame per minute rate (up to 30fpm), and an easy to use still frame picture button.
After getting this item home and installing it on a new copy of Windows XP. I encountered nothing but problems with the included Logitech software. The software continues to be a problem, certain parts of the software will not run at all, and the shortcut links to use the camera with instant messengers (AIM, Yahoo, and MSN messengers) will not work at all. The still frame picture software, and email video editor seem to be the only parts of the software that work.
However, the hardware itself does not seem to be faulty, and I know from previous experience with a Logitech Webcam, the hardware will last and last, and work fabulously, as long as you get rid of the software. The built in microphone works well, without too much feedback. The still frame picture button works great and the online (cable modem) capabilities of the camera seem good for the price. The FPM rate is decent enough not to seem choppy when web casting video. And last, the camera seems to pick up light very easily and works best in unnatural lighting.
