A happy compromise at a great price
Pros:
6x optical zoom, image stabilization, AA batteries, small size, price
Cons:
Indoor/low light, no view finder
The Bottom Line:
6X zoom clearly beats what most others offer in this price range. A happy compromise that works very well for me.

Author's Review
I can't begin to get into technical details...numbers... etc. That's best left to those who really know and understand those elements. I'm simply someone who wanted a reliable point & shoot digital camera with a zoom over 3X, but without the bulk of a 10X. On those points, I am very pleased with this choice. Really love the 6X lense.
This weekend, I took it to a pro football game and got some very impressive shots. Granted, I had to delete a lot of lousy ones, but they were my fault and not the camera's. I also really like the "SD Viewer" editing software. Again, I'm not a sophisticated or advanced hobbyist and this combo gave me results and choices that were beyond what I expected. I can't say "idiot-proof", but my guess is that the average, first-timer will be very happy.
I haven't had great luck with low light/indoor shots, but maybe that will come with practice. For my needs, though, as a casual, outdoor point & shoot camera, it does a great job.
I was also very pleased by the price. I checked out the camera at Circuit City and was ready to buy. When I asked if the store would match the website price, they had me buy it on-line (using their in-store computer), then go to pick-up. That brought the price to $206.99.
