One of my jobs at work is to burn DVDs. I was handed the Samsung external DVD writer, and a package of these
Memorex DVD (plus)RW discs in the 25-pack on a spindle. I installed the DVD writer and started to burn. (I feel I should be singing the Taylor Swift Song Picture to Burn.)
Description
These Memorex DVDs come packed 25 discs on a spindle. A plastic lid, shaded like a dome, twists on and off the spindle to keep the discs neat and protected. The discs are silver with small holographic-type squares across the face. Note: These discs do not come with jewel cases.
My Experiences
I have experience using these Memorex DVDs for recording television programs I miss while out. The rewritable format works well so that I can view the program then re-record over it.
So when I was handed this stack of Memorex DVDs, I already had confidence they would work. And I was right. At the office, we have no problems using these DVD discs. I use the Samsung writer to burn the DVDs. They burn without issue. Simple!
For the best video results, I find it necessary to record at a high-quality setting. Lower quality tends to show slightly pixilated images. Recording at high-quality produces excellent video.
These DVDs have also played on a variety of computers and players. The quality is excellent. We record videos of our company products as they are used in the field. They make great demonstration material for potential customers. The videos are high quality, with incredible detail. Of course, the master recording we use is of good quality. The detail and color in the videos is great.
My brother first introduced me to these Memorex DVDs. He suggested I use a permanent marker to write the date I started using the disc. He notices degradation in video quality after about a year of consistent rewriting on the disc. He rewrites on his discs more than I do and wears them out quicker than me. At the office, we rarely rewrite on a disc, but like to use these discs in case we wish to record new video over the old images.
