Date of Review:  Apr 12, 2000
Review: After the infamous years under Tina Brown's "editorship" it's nice to see the New Yorker returning to it's traditional roots: good articles. Perhaps the flash is gone, the glitz, the hype, but rest assured the real New Yorker is back.

Still a great magazine

Date of Review:  Aug 31, 2001
The Bottom Line: If you want to become a well-read person, this is the place to start. Reading it increased my SAT and MCAT verbal scores, plus the experience is enjoyable.
Review: I always take time off every Wednesday to read my New Yorker. This magazine continues to impress me every week, every esoteric topic become intriguing when written by superb writers. The cartoons are both funny and meaningful. I think the New Yorker...

A Classy Read

Date of Review:  May 11, 2000

Still among the best

Date of Review:  Nov 14, 1999
Review: The New Yorker ain't cheap, but it's a magazine that I come back to again and again. My subscription seldom lapses for long. I preferred the magazine in its pre-Tina Brown days, but it's still one of the best reads on the newsstand. The fiction and...

Date of Review:  Oct 23, 1999
Review: Whether they want it or not, writers can say they make it once they are published by the New Yorker, a literary powerhouse. This is not a question of money here. It is rather a matter of literary prestige. Then money may come through your world-wide...

The New Yorker is still THE Magazine of New York City

Date of Review:  Dec 3, 2007
The Bottom Line: It's worth the price if only for the information about weekly events in New York City
Review: Since the last review of The New Yorker on Epinions was over six years ao in 2001 it seems time to review it again. This review will address two major issues about the magazine: what has changed and what remains.

One major change is that...
