Very good shaver!!

The last time I owned an electric shaver was about 15 years ago. It was fairly basic and probably cost me about $20.

It was recently my dads birthday, so I bought him a $250 Braun. Ive used it and was so impressed I thought I'd splash out and buy myself an electric shaver as well. I then started reading all the reviews on the shavers I was looking at purchasing from ebay Australia.

To cut a long story short, the Philips Cool Skin had the best reviews for the price range I was looking at (under $200), so I bought one.

A review I read said that it was closer than a razor. Yeah right! But using it for about 3 days and fine tuning the way I shave, I found that actually was.

I've only used it in the shower using a gel from a can. I haven't 'dry' shaved with the squirter thingy on the shaver yet, so I can't say anything about that. I think the secret to getting it closer than a razor is to:

1) Shave just before leaving the shower,
2) Spray the hot water from the shower head onto your face to soften the stubble, and
3) Don't push against your face too hard.

I've never written a review before, but was so impressed with the 6701, I thought I would. I'm also going to cut and paste this review onto another website review I looked at because I can't be bothered starting from scratch again.
