Ong Bak: Kickboxing, Buddha, and Sounds that go Jaa!!

Date of Review:  Feb 17, 2005
The Bottom Line: No wires, no fliers. Action with a hip soundtrack and ever so slight a conscience.
Review: And now, Trust12345 goes head to head with the critics and their blurbs from RottenTomatoes.com, fighting (well, mainly agreeing with) the majority of their sentiments.

Marc Savlov of the Austin Chronicle comes at me with a rusty-nail...

Ong-Bak: The Thai Warrior was a bit over hyped

Date of Review:  Dec 7, 2005
The Bottom Line: If you like watching martial arts movies, you'll enjoy this one.
Review: Ong-Bak: The Thai Warrior is a lower budget martial arts film from Thailand. French writer/director Luc Besson (The Professional, The Transporter) is an uncredited producer of this film, and I understand that he helped to re-edit this movie for a...

No Stunt Doubles, No Computer Images, No Strings Attached ONG BAK: THE MUAY THAI WARRIOR

Date of Review:  Aug 7, 2009
The Bottom Line: A rewarding martial arts movie with a twist; Tony Jaa really is a Muay Thai Master, and that is all him!
Review: Ong Bak: The Muay Thai Warrior (2003) Directed by Prachya Pinkaew

The village of Ong Bak is looking at their festival, held once every twenty four years, to be held in a week. There is a contest to see who will be the village champion,...

.......................Tony Jaa of the 21st Century.......................................

Date of Review:  Feb 21, 2005
The Bottom Line: "Ong Bak" is an event movie of sorts that is well worth the time and money to see. It's assets far outweigh its liabilities.
Review: "Ong Bak:The Thai Warrior" is an amazing bundle of energy in the form of Panom Yeerum AKA Tony Jaa. It's an explosion of energy that has enough octane for at least two movies at maximum warp.

The movie opens up simply enough. There is a...

Tony Jaa - Mission One: Retrieve the Buddha's Head!

Date of Review:  Sep 16, 2006
The Bottom Line: Lots of action
Review: Press Start

melodic eastern music- Long ago in a small town in Thailand, the young men of the village would have a contest to see who was the greatest Thai Warrior. They would all try to climb to the top of a large many limbed tree. It is...

Incredible fighting movie, but the rest stinks.

Date of Review:  May 12, 2005
The Bottom Line: If a movie could be judged based on it's fighting, I'd give it an A-. However, the lulls in-between that bring down the movie. For fans of martial arts only.
Review: Being a great fan of martial arts movie, I recently watched two martial arts movies from countries other than China and Japan, which where most of the films of that genre come from. The first was "Arahan", a spectacular Matrix-style movie that pays...

The Bottom Line: Tony Jaa is the next Bruce Lee, Jet Li, and Jackie Chan all in One!!! Go buy this DVD now!
Review: Kickboxing and beliefs collide when the head of Ong-Bak a budda Deity are stolen and held for ransom by a power hungry gangster.

This is my second favorite Martial arts movie of the year next to Kung Fu Hustle.

Tony Jaa the main...

Move over Bruce Lee! Yes I said it...

Date of Review:  Nov 16, 2005
The Bottom Line: Highly recommend this movie!
Review: The story-line and plot of the movie was mediocre to most critics but to me, it was good. What made it good was the opening scene where it shows the tribe of Ting, a Thailand country boy, in a contest to retrieve a flag at the top of this colossal...
