Product Review

Nice machine but short lifespan

by   peapod_dt3000 ,   Apr 26, 2009

Pros:  Was great for transferring family DV tapes and camera SD card pictures to DVD.

Cons:  No ATSC digital tuner which is a must today.  Its lifespan is too short.

Overall Rating: 2/5 stars

Author's Review

Bought it at Sam's Club for $300 2years ago and now it will not recognize ANY dvd's to play nor record on..the laser head seeks back & forth for about 15 seconds then reports disk is not recognized when I know it is good.  Tried with many good disks.  The repair facilities are few and far between. The closest to me is more than 100 miles away.  Turning $300 into a boat anchor in only 2 years of infrequent use really diminishes my respect for Panasonic.
