Author's Review
I bought a used GT version in December 2006, with 14,000 mi on it. I am not a technical reviewer, so, I will just describe my experience so far.
STYLING: The exterior is stylish. Mine has the duel chrome exhaust, spoiler, fog lights, and power sunroof/moonroof. The factory rims are bland. I wanted to put "centerlines" (the sunken in ones with the bolts)on this car, but can't, because it's front wheel drive. The interior is like a cockpit. Everything "leans" toward the driver. I love the red interior lighting. It keeps you alert for sure.I have the MP3 player/radio controls on the steering wheel(awesome), heated leather seats(great on cold winter mornings). The trunk is large, and has fold down seats (which I never use). The front passenger seat even has a "tray" on the back and you can fold it down flat.
PERFORMANCE: This car wants to get up and go. I have the V-6 (not supercharged), but it has plenty of pickup, and makes me want to drive faster then I should. The acceleration is not as smooth as I would like. I took it to the dealer and they re-programmed the computer, and it seems to have gotten a lot better. It still vibrates a little until out of first gear, though. I'm probably being picky because my passengers feel nothing out of the ordinary. The handling around turns is responsive. This car has a heavy feel to it on the road. I have not had any traction problems. The suspension is sporty and you feel the road. I feel uneasy in cars that make you feel like you are "floating", so I consider this a plus.
I can't really say there is anything negative about this car except for the gas mileage, and the cheap looking plastic interior.
