You Would Not Believe What We Found AT Radio SHack.

The Bottom Line: If you are having trouble with your kids try this first. Just remember yor might not like what you find out.
My wife and I purchased this several years ago when we were having trouble with our teenager. She was hanging around with the wrong group of kids. We could not tell whether or not she was telling the truth so we decided to bug out own phone. That was when we went to Radio Shack and purchased this for right around thirty dollars and that included tax. We purchased some tapes to go along with this recorder otherwise it would not have been that much.
Description
This is not as big as you think that it would be, it is approximately 8 x 5 x 2 and only weighs less than 3 pounds. This will come with an ac adapter, so there is no need for any batteries. This has the capabilities to be able to use an internal microphone, and it also comes with an external one. This has six operational buttons that are; stop/eject, play, record, fast forward, reverse, and pause. This has sleek design so that if you needed to hide it anywhere it will be very east to do it. Another nice addition to this recorder is the fact that it has a three-digit counter. This will help you get back to where you were listening from if you ever are interrupted. The automatic level control will help you so you do not have keep adjusting the volume level all of the time. This has a very stylish retractable handle the will hide away when this in not in use. This also has an automatic shut off in case you forget to shut it off after a while. However, in our case we wanted this to stay on all the time. This takes the usual size cassettes that we have seen at all of our local stores, they are very inexpensive.
Experiences
We did not like the fact that we had to spy on our own kids but they forced our hand. We knew that they we misbehaving and we did not have the proof. This is simple enough to use, all you have to do is just set as if you are going to record something, then the device that you purchase from Radio Shack will hook up to this. It is voice activated, so you do not have to be there to tape any conversations. This came in very handy when we caught our daughter smoking pot but she kept on denying it. So finally, we let her listen to the tape and she confessed. This did not stop there, we also found that she was having sex in our own house and we did not allow that. Once she caught wind that we were doing this, things got a lot better. At least she was not caught by someone else and have to go to jail and ruin her life. Sometimes you have to do things that you would never think about doing until you are pushed to the limit. We figured it was better to take care of this in house than let it get out of hand.
Conclusion
It is amazing what you can purchase at your local Radio Shack, and may be a little scary to. However, the end result was that this its job and now our daughter has turned the corner and I do believe she has learned a valuable lesson. Never try to get the upper hand on your parents. With all of the other recording devices on today s market, you would not think that you would ever need one of these. In this case, it worked excellent and helped us steer our daughter on the right path. I can highly recommend that if you need to try to straighten this out, this would be the cheapest way to go, before you try anything more drastic or expensive.
