Author's Review
With a MSRP of $425, most are listed for less than half that. At that price, it is a steal, a bargain and a truly beautiful and functional timepiece. I scored one new, in the box, complete with manual, ownership card and the full manufacturer's 3 year warranty from a legitimate dealer on eBay for $150. Felt like Christmas. It's made with an attention to detail seen mostly in higher priced lines. Solid, attractive, multi-part dial with applied, (not painted), markers at the 1-12 positions, high quality "Lumibrite" hands and markers, and an inset gold frame at the date indicator. Smaller numerals mark the "24 Hr" indications on the inner sub-dial. The uni-directional timing bezel is solid and accurate, but not so bold as to be a distraction during day to day use. Check out the pictures. The tried & true Kinetic movement is capable of up to 6 months of reserve power, and you never need to worry about a dead watch or replacing batteries. The bracelet is large enough for the largest wrist, and it is so comfortable! I have a large wrist. Even so, I had to have a link removed from the beautiful two-tone bracelet which gave the watch a perfect fit. No need to worry about fitting issues with this watch. It should fit just about anyone. The double push-button safety clasp works flawlessly. This watch lives up to Seiko's reputation as makers of top quality timepieces, on a par with some of the most expensive in the world. I chose this one for its truly unique and elegant looks, after viewing hundreds of others that all seemed to be variations of the same tired styles. The Seiko name also figured largely into my decision. It's the best watch I have ever owned, my second Seiko, second Kinetic and the favorite of my collection. I was lucky to have scored it at such a bargain price. You won't find any priced quite that low any more. I've checked. But even priced in the mid-two hundred dollar range, this watch is a beauty, and a great value.
