Author's Review
This is a trio of blush, which can allow you shade and highlight your cheekbones rather than just using just a swath of color.
More makeup tips by BCV87! Hurray!
1. Pucker up your lips to find exactly where your cheek bones are.
2. This VERY important!!! NEVER pull blush past the line of your outer eyebrow.
3. Starting with the darkest color, brush in and upward toward your hair line. Remember to start at the line of where your eyebrows end.
4. Skip the next color and go for the lighter color. Clean your brush first by brushing it on a clean tissue and then use this color just above your cheek bone.
5. The third color is for the cheekbone itself and brings the other two colors together.
Product
Typical make up pan with three colors in a pie-like shape. That can be a little problematic because you don't want these colors to cross breed.
Results
Provided I haven't pulled the makeup all the across my cheeks like so many mistakenly do, the effect is subtle, but clear. This can be used for an every day look, but I find that I usually only bother with the three color method for evening or special events. It all really is up to you and what kind of work you do. If you want to look glamourous while you work during the day, this is the product for you.
Final Thoughts
So many multi-colored makeup pans usually end up with one or two neglected colors, and ultimately thrown away when the main color is finished up. I find this to be such a waste. When a company puts more than one color in a pan,, it's more than likely the assume all three will use.
With the professional makeup technique I have described above, I hope to see many less non-used colors go by the wayside.
Where to buy.
Ah that's the rub. If you can find a beauty supply store where most of the requires a beautician's license, you might find that make up there (I was able to find mine in Monrovia, CA) And you won't need a license as long as you're only buying make up.
You can try department stores, but I haven't looked for Trucco there, so don't know for sure if it's there as available as MAC. Nor do I know of any Trucco brick and mortar stores.
www.beautydepot.com seems to be the only place that has any online availabilities that doesn't look too knocked off.. NEVER buy Truco from E-bay!
