Horrible Radio

I purchased this radio in hopes that it could replace a small portable radio that had poor reception. I purchased this ICF-36 online through www.sonystyle.com - what a mistake that was.

Out of the box the radio looked great. It had all the features I wanted and the dimensions were not too bad. The quality seemed OK for the price, that is until I turned it on.

How I can I put it... This "Made in China" ICF-36 radio is not worth a nickle! Not only was channel separation unacceptable, the audio quality simply sucked. The audio would pop and crackle at all volume levels - something was not right. It sounded like I was in a lightning storm.

I contacted Sony Style per enclosed instructions only to be phone tagged all over the place. They insisted on me repeating the problem with each tag and they did not sound as if they were there to help. Poor service -- so I just want a refund thank you. What a hassle.
