{Intro}
-----------------------
The Spiderman movie was a big hit at the box office when released May 2002, so like all hit films, it was only right to create a game based on the movie. While the Spiderman game throws in many elements and locales not featured in the film, for the most part it stays true to form in delivering the same ction as the movie but in a different way.
--------------
{Concept}
--------------
Take to the streets of the city as Spiderman in a manner similar to the hit film. Swing across the skies of NYC while fighting off Oscorp weapons and the nefarious Green Goblin. Tie foes up in web, unleash multiple fighting combos and use new powerful moves like web gloves and web dome to beat up many thugs at once. With a villain roster of Scorpion, Shocker, Vulture and the Goblin himself, the action is intense and nonstop. Traverse 22 levels of villain packed excitement. Search out powerups to earn new combos and solve puzzles to conquer zones. You'll also need stealth in addition to brute force in order to suceed in the ever difficult Oscorp levels.

{Graphics}
------------------------------------
When the game opens you are treated to a wonderful FMV sequence with detailed character models and awesome color and effects realistic to the movie. Unfortunately not all in game cutscenes are as good looking. Most of the cutscenes that occur within levels are average as far as raphics go. But the graphics are still cool nonetheless. Levels that take you to the skies do so with incredible detail to buildings and even robots that attack you in some stages. The Goblin looks awesome atop his silver glider, almost as good as he did on the big screen.

{Sound}
---------------------------------------------------
The sounds are great. from the sound your web makes when you're swinging from the skies to the sounds of thugs struggling under the might of your webbing, to the in game dialogue during boss battles and the voice acting in the movie sequences, it's all fanstastic and very well done. The music isn't really that great, mainly because there isn't that much. The first fight just has an introductory theme that's kinda boring and the theme is sorta remixed for the next few levels with a few alternate themes for the villains you'll meet at different points in the game. In general the best song in the game has to be the sinister theme of the Green Goblin (which wasn't even in the film, btw). All in all the sound is a bit above average, but not great.

{Controls}
-----------------------
You start with a fairly simple set of controls to start with. Y utilizes the web. Y coupled with a directional pad command (left, right, up down) will use another web attack and pressing R will start the web swing. L will allow a handy zipline for faster travel via webbing. Coupled with the Z button your sipline can land more accurately. However what gets confusing is when these button commands get linked. By hitting L and Y you can use some Yo-Yo thing and if you hit Y during a zip line you'll use up more web and damage anyone in the way of your path of travel. This isn't too hard but in additon to this, if you wanna be a fierce fighter you must find and unlock 27 unique combo moves such as tackle, scissor kick and divebomb, You getting this? You have over 30 something moves and the combos that make up 3/4 of them are very hard to remember and you have to refer to the pause menu under "Combos" to get the key command" which can be frustrating when you wanna be able to unleash cool moves with ease. You could write down the key commands but the controls chould be simple enough so that you don't have to remember 27 different combos. This is the major glitch of controls involved here

{Replay Value}
----------------------
Even though the game's length is moderate it can be replayed on higher difficulties to unlock new costmes and one more playable character! Unfortunately those higher difficulties are incredibly hard for what they unlock, all except the one you get for clearing the game on "SUPERHERO" difficulty. Either way this game is guaranteed to have a few levels that you'll favor and want to revisit every so often to relive an awesome battle or replay the stage in general.

{Action Factor}
------------------
What exactly is acion factor? Its a new field for my game reviews and overall the most important. Just how much of an adrenalinn rush do you get from this game and how does it recreate the feeling you wish to experience? This game has awesome action and fighting Goblin while webslinging is one of the coolest things to do. I've played the 15'th stage (titled "The Offer") tons of times just for that pure action and thrill of flying through the air, dodging blades and smacking a green villain off his glider. The other levels provide action as well but not as much as later stages. The Scorpion boss is another great place to revisit for an awesome challenge. If you love action, with some story and other elements tossed in, you'll love most of this game. It will have some frustrating levels but you should find some memorable moment to replay many times and if you can just find a small handful of levels that you love, they'll keep you happy for a long time, and even the levels you wont "love" will entertain you a little. All in all, it's not much like the movie but definetly worht a buy.
