Take Note Of This....

Date of Review:  Jan 2, 2001
Review: ((This is about Craig Petersons test on radartest.com))

((Just take note...))

He's the only "tester" on the planet who
thinks
locating radar is a bad idea.

He starts his radartest.com review of V1 by saying it's...

A repeat customer

Date of Review:  May 7, 2001
The Bottom Line: Pricey, but still appears to have the best performance and some very useful unique features (directional indicator). Remember, a cheap/low performance detector is worse than none at all.
Review: I bought a Valentine One (radar only) way back in 1992. I still have it, and it still works well. Unfortunately, it does not have laser protection, which was the cause of great delight to the officer who ticketed me last fall. I decided that is was...

V1 - #1? or not worth the $400 big ones..

Date of Review:  Dec 18, 2001
The Bottom Line: Get it if you are a speeder and frequently receive tickets. It will save you money in the long-run. It is a solid, well-made piece.
Review: The first thing I would like to address is the advantages and disadvantages of the arrows. Because this is essentially what sets it aside from the Passport 8500, occasionally touted as having equal or better detection range than the v1. (I have read...

V1, NZ Review - #1

Date of Review:  May 9, 2001
The Bottom Line: The Valentine One is everything it is claimed to be - The best.
Review: My opinion is intended to help New Zealand Buyers, and is based on the latest (Purc. 4/01 2.909 rev) Revision of the Valentine one.

**** UPDATE 04/2002: New 'Slim' model (Purc. 10/2001 V1.8 Ant, 3.619 rev software + 07/2002 v1.8 Ant, 3.789...

The Ticket Preventer??

Date of Review:  Jan 21, 2002
The Bottom Line: Do yourself a favor and relax by purchasing the Valentine. Aside from Laser, you are practically invincible!
Review: Why are arrows both a pro and a con?
The older V1 units provided excellent help via the arrows in locating the threat. The only instance where v1 was a bit misleading was when the signal would bounce all around causing the side arrow to light...

A MENACE TO THE SPEED TRAP!!

Date of Review:  Jan 23, 2002
The Bottom Line: Sick and tired of speeding tickets? Me too. Treat yourself with a V1 and avoid countless, needless speeding tickets.
Review: The Valentine One has progressed to the point where it a traffic officer's biggest pain in the neck. No longer can Traffic Police broadcast their X band radar while sipping coffe and Dunkin Donuts.
Now, due to Valentine One's unbelievable...

In complete command of the fuzz.

Date of Review:  Jul 16, 2004
Review: The first day I owned this thing, it saved me from a ticket. Knowing not just that radar is in the area, but where it's located and how many are the main selling points for this detector. If you are like me and drive the same route to work everyday,...

Escort has VERY SERIOUS flaws don't buy it....

Date of Review:  Jun 24, 2004
The Bottom Line: Best protection made, the Escort Xp is a joke when compared.
Review: ***Update*** If anyone has any doubts about wether to go with the Valentine or Escort please read this. Escort has serious, very serious, flaws with it's laser detection and POP abilities. In fact out of quite a few test it never detected the POP,...

V1 or Escort 8500

Date of Review:  Mar 5, 2002
The Bottom Line: If you want the best reception and don't mind a few falses and can live without automute go for it.
Review: Camero vs. Mustang F150 vs Dodge Ram Automatic vs. Manual
Diesel or Gas. Tough choices. Each has their advantages and disadvantages. Ford owners wouldn't be caught dead with a Chevy and vice versa. And so it is with V1 and Escort 8500. Just...

for Persistent Speeders

Date of Review:  Apr 5, 2002
The Bottom Line: Buy it if you care where the radar is and how many there are
Review: The Valentine One is perfect for persistent, aggressive speeders like me. When I first got mine I was stabbing the brakes constantly worried that a cop was close by whenever it beeped.

Soon I realized this detector has a fantastic range...
