Author's Review

I replaced my WinModem with one of these. The setup was very difficult, and the manual didn't have much to offer. After finally getting this thing to work, the connection speed was okay(46000 vs 48000 with my Lucent) but did seem to load pages much faster. It worked okay for a month, then kept dropping carrier after 5 secs. I reinstalled my Lucent, and also used my laptop to connect with no problems. Zoom tech support says it is my ISP, but i'm not convinced. They weren't much help. They even said I have a memory leak and blamed it on Windows. What else am I supposed to use the modem with? I'll report more later if I get the problem resolved.
